Sara Happ and Sugarfina Summer Celebration in Beverly Hills

Sara Happ hosted a Summer Celebration at candy store Sugarfina in Beverly Hills in which guests enjoyed sweets (of course), cocktails by Purity Vodka, and Sara Happ lip scrubs and touch ups by Glam Squad. I enjoyed a watermelon mojito while perusing Sugarfina's shelves and what seemed like endless displays of the most beautiful gourmet sweets. Owners Rosie and Josh travel the world to bring the latest, greatest, and sweetest candies to their shops. Sara Happ is the creator of the cult classic, The Lip Scrub, and her various lip scrubs combined on display among the candy created a very delectable and inviting surrounding (I didn't want to leave, but did get maxed out on sweets).

Oversized Vest with a Romper for Summer

This romper/playsuit seems to be my go-to when visiting LA, I last wore it here and here. It just makes it easy to throw on and wear out as a chic and vibrant but not overly loud outfit. For this outfit, I played down the tropical print with an oversized white vest, but did highlight a color of the tropical print with my rust-colored booties.

Hollywoodland Murder Mystery Dinner

When I approached Andrew about attending a murder mystery dinner show, his response was far from what was expected. He was 200% excited to want to experience a murder mystery show so I RSVP'd for us to attend the Dainty Dames' THE HOLLYWOODLAND MURDER at Next Door Lounge in Hollywood. I didn't know what to expect, but was completely enraptured by the intimate, speakeasy ambiance; there was a sense of mystery and what once was that immediately took me to another time.

This experience heavily involves your group or the people sitting in your area or at your table with finding clues. moving about the lounge and working together to try to find the killer. So if you're not the type to want to get involved, I wouldn't go; but it is just too much fun to not want be apart of the show. The actors mingled with the dinner guests prior to start of the show and it really puts everyone in the mood and gets everyone excited for the show.
Dinner and drinks were great, and I must say I might have been a bit too inebriated to effectively solve the murder with my table group, but I had a blast nonetheless.  Read the synopsis of the show below, and make a reservation for the next show!

THE HOLLYWOODLAND MURDER:
The year is 1948, and you, a member of Hollywood's Elite, are invited to the movie premiere of "The Hollywoodland Murder". It's the most talked about film in Tinseltown due to its is highly controversial subject matter: exploiting the infamous story of The Black Dahlia murder, less than one year since it rocked Los Angeles. Unbeknownst to the movie premiere attendees, there is a killer in the crowd.  The murderer has a twisted game in store that brings the Black Dahlia horror they see on screen a haunting reality. Guests must work together through tests of wit, clue hunting, and daunting tasks to solve this murder mystery before the body count grows.

How to Wear a Summer White Dress at Night

Andrew and I were invited to lifestyle blogger Rachel Mccord's event at the Skybar, Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood last week. Seeing that it was a summer night at a rooftop bar, I wanted to wear an all-white look. I had just brought home this Line + Dot Spring Life Apron dress from their Summer 2015 preview and kept the look fresh and simple with a pair of nude pointed pumps from Charles David, and amped up the look for the evening with a red lip. Wear a slim to semi-fitted white dress with nude heels for an instant summer hot look. Keep your lips nude or add a pop up color with a vibrant red, pink, or coral lip color. Line & Dot Summer 2015 Preview at Verve Coffee

Renee and I, along with other influencers, editors and stylists previewed label Line + Dot's Summer 2015 collection at Verve Coffee in DTLA on Thursday June 25th. While checking out pieces from the collection, we got to enjoy cocktails by Pattern Bar and Ole Smoky and snacks from Proyo Treats. I had the 'Halfway to LA' braid done by 901too, and Judy Heavenly did tarot card and palm readings. Floral decor was provided by one of my faves, Bloom That, and a fun .gif Photo Booth by HotPoint for photo ops was at our disposable. DJ Kay was also spinning tracks throughout the night.
