Oversized Vest with a Romper for Summer

This romper/playsuit seems to be my go-to when visiting LA, I last wore it here and here. It just makes it easy to throw on and wear out as a chic and vibrant but not overly loud outfit. For this outfit, I played down the tropical print with an oversized white vest, but did highlight a color of the tropical print with my rust-colored booties.

Mixing Stripe and Floral Prints

A fun way to mix prints is with stripes and florals. Usually stripes can seamlessly pair with other prints; in this look, I styled a thinly striped button down tucked into an abstract, floral printed skirt. This look works well because the stripe pattern of the top is symmetrical and simple which balances the bold floral print of the skirt. I chose the blue stripe because it mimics a blue shade in the floral print. Read my full eHow article on the 'The Basic of Mixing Prints'. Here are details on the outfit:

Spring 2015 Wedding Style in DTLA

I recently attended my Tri Delta Lil Sis's wedding and reception at the beautiful Oviatt Penthouse in Downtown Los Angeles and wanted to share my wedding style. I didn't want to wear a gown or maxi-length dress, so I chose this beautiful sky blue colored dress that had a very lady like neckline, 3/4 sleeves, a-line skirt and pocket detail.

Ballerina Skirt for Spring

I tapped into my ultra feminine side and ballerina days with this spring inspired outfit. Although the season officially turns into Spring this Friday, so cal has been experiencing unbelievably hot weather. To ease the frustration of the heat wave without walking around in a bikini to cool off, I styled this lightweight blouse with a colorful, a-line pleated skirt and pulled my hair up into a bun. I had a full day of events last Thursday wearing this outfit; a blogger lunch, store opening walk through, and two store events; so this look was perfect to take from day to night.
