Sara Happ and Sugarfina Summer Celebration in Beverly Hills

Sara Happ hosted a Summer Celebration at candy store Sugarfina in Beverly Hills in which guests enjoyed sweets (of course), cocktails by Purity Vodka, and Sara Happ lip scrubs and touch ups by Glam Squad. I enjoyed a watermelon mojito while perusing Sugarfina's shelves and what seemed like endless displays of the most beautiful gourmet sweets. Owners Rosie and Josh travel the world to bring the latest, greatest, and sweetest candies to their shops. Sara Happ is the creator of the cult classic, The Lip Scrub, and her various lip scrubs combined on display among the candy created a very delectable and inviting surrounding (I didn't want to leave, but did get maxed out on sweets).

Check out the Sara Happ site here, and visit a Sugarfina near you or shop online!

La Roche-Posay's NEW Suncare Launches

I've heard such spectacular things about skincare brand La Roche-Posay from my good friend Angel whom had actually gotten to visit the French town of La Roche-Posay and has tried many of the brand's products. Therefore, I was filled with excitement when I was invited to a summer breakfast at Fig + Olive in West Hollywood to learn more about the brand's sun care launches (including the sunscreen serum Anthelios AOX) and makeup artist must-haves.
The Brands Assistant Vice President, Tyler Steele and Board certified dermatologist Shirley Chi, M.D. spoke about each new product as well as the importance of sun care. Chi explained how adult acne is much more common over the age of 25/30, and these products are great for acne prone skin because other acne products tend to over dry skin, and La Roche-Posay doesn't dry out skin but moisturizes it. I have become increasingly more aware of the intense, daily sun exposure and pollutants my skin experiences and am glad I learned more about how to protect my skin; as well as take home a La Roche-Posay sun care goodies to try.
I swatch-ed all of the products during the lunch, but also started using the Anthelios 60 Cooling Water-Lotion Sunscreen, which is seamless to put on and doesn't feel like I'm wearing sunscreen, making daily application of sunscreen effortless. I also started using the Physiological Micellar Solution every evening after removing makeup with a towelette and I love how much leftover remnants the solution picks up as well as soothes and tones my skin; it's also very gentle.
I am beyond thrilled to use the other products and share more about my experiences, now go protect your skin! Apply and reapply sunscreen, and check out the rest of La Roche-Posay's products here

Line & Dot Summer 2015 Preview at Verve Coffee

Renee and I, along with other influencers, editors and stylists previewed label Line + Dot's Summer 2015 collection at Verve Coffee in DTLA on Thursday June 25th. While checking out pieces from the collection, we got to enjoy cocktails by Pattern Bar and Ole Smoky and snacks from Proyo Treats. I had the 'Halfway to LA' braid done by 901too, and Judy Heavenly did tarot card and palm readings. Floral decor was provided by one of my faves, Bloom That, and a fun .gif Photo Booth by HotPoint for photo ops was at our disposable. DJ Kay was also spinning tracks throughout the night. Check out my next post to see which Line + Dot piece I got to take home with me.

Grand Marnier Summer Solstice Party

Last Sunday after visiting the art installation Projection, Renee and I headed to the Hollywood Roosevelt for the Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach Summer Solstice party. We enjoyed spirited snow cones, a DIY muddled lemonade stand featuring Grand Marnier's Raspberry Peach Liqueur, a braid bar by GLAMSQUAD, metallic tattoos by Dash of Flash, flower crowns by the Mille Fiori, a photo booth by The Bosco, freshly infused water and live music. We had a blast and the Raspberry Peach Liqueur was DE-LISH.
