How to Wear Peplum - Casually with a Belt, Shorts & Sandals

Dress down a lace or a peplum top with a vintage or casual belt. The belt that I styled in this look was found at a thrift shop and features Southwestern-inspired details. I tied in the colors of the belt with my tan colored sandals, and kept the look casual with denim shorts. Here are the details on the outfit:

How to Wear a Simple Tank with High-Waisted Jean Shorts

I recently just submitted a piece to eHow on how to wear high-waisted jeans in which I featured jean shorts, skinny jeans, and flared jeans. This look was one of the high-waisted jean short outfits. I kept it simple with a boxy tank top since the fit of the shorts was very fitted.
Other tops you can pair with a high-waisted slim fit jean shorts is a crop top fitted or loose, an oversized or loose blouse worn tucked or un-tucked, a t-shirt tied into a knot at the waist, and a ruffled or flow-y top or tank. Here are the details on this look:

Utility Vest & Denim Outfit at Red Rock Canyon

Scott and I ventured to Vegas for a mini spring break trip and during our stay, we stopped by Red Rock Canyon which is a mere 17 miles west, a 25-30 minute drive from where we were staying on the Las Vegas strip.  The majestic red rock formations and nature surrounding us was a pleasant and peaceful removal from the bright lights, entertainment overload, and casino hustle and bustle of the strip. My 'mountainess', nature-seeking inspired look featured a utility vest, denim blouse, and wide-fedora hat. Ranch Fashion Remixed

Plaid, Denim, Pleats, & Booties

I'm excited that Dee of Swell Beauty and I will be presenting a series of braid hairstyle tutorials soon, and of course, photographed by the amazing Shawna of Bleudog Fotography. See my previous Swell Beauty collaborations here, and photographs of me by Shawna here! For this look in which I wore a half up-half down braid hairstyle; I was going for a more countryside, I live on a ranch-inspired look with a modern twist. I layered a denim button down underneath a plaid vest and tucked into a pleated midi skirt. I always love creating the juxtaposition of contrasting fabrics and textures, for this look in particular, the stiffer denim with soft, chiffon pleats. Shoes were cowboy-inspired booties, and had a red lip for some fancy flare. Details of my outfit:
