One-Side Messy Fishtail Braid with Swell Beauty, Laguna Beach

I can't seem to do a fishtail braid right on my own, so I'm glad Dee from Swell Beauty did this pretty fishtail braid to my ombre locks. I love that she started the fishtail at my hair line and swept down the side; and instead of having the end of the braid sticking out, Dee tucked and pinned the ends into the braid. Did you know that I just started blogging for Swell Beauty and you can check out my posts here! But back to this braid, here's what you need to complete the hair style (you will need to know how to fishtail braid):

1 Rubberband (your haircolor)
Bobbypins (your haircolor)
Sexy Hair Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Dry Shampoo
TigiS Factor Vivacious Hairspray

1. Spray dry shampoo into your roots and tousle with your fingertips. Section your hair with a wide part. With the wider section of hair, start fishtail french braiding. 2. Finish the fishtail braid and rubberband the end. 3. Go down the braid with your fingertips and gently pull on the sides to create the 'messy' look. 4. Take the end of braid and pin the ends up into the braid with the bobbypins. Spray hairspray all over.

Topshop's Striped Floral Print Trousers

For Day 2 of LA Fashion Council's FW15 Collection Showings, I wanted to wear pants like the day before, so I chose these amazingly printed trousers from TOPSHOP. I love the colors and floral/stripe print of the pant, very striking without giving you a headache when you look at it, and I mixed prints and textures by pairing a textured sweater top. Here are the outfit details, and stay tuned for coverage of the LAFC designers!

Ballerina Skirt for Spring

I tapped into my ultra feminine side and ballerina days with this spring inspired outfit. Although the season officially turns into Spring this Friday, so cal has been experiencing unbelievably hot weather. To ease the frustration of the heat wave without walking around in a bikini to cool off, I styled this lightweight blouse with a colorful, a-line pleated skirt and pulled my hair up into a bun. I had a full day of events last Thursday wearing this outfit; a blogger lunch, store opening walk through, and two store events; so this look was perfect to take from day to night. See the outfit details below:

Blouse & High Waist Skirt, Express
Bold Cat Eye Sunglasses in Black/Lavender, ZeroUV

Spring Style with Emily Loftiss at Trina Turk, Fashion Island

Trina Turk's Spring Style Out Event with OC 'It' Girl Emily Loftiss
TV Personality and Style & Beauty Expert Emily Loftiss hosted a Spring Style event with Trina Turk at the Fashion Island boutique in Newport Beach last Thursday. Guests enjoyed 20% off the new, vibrant Spring collection (seriously loving the resort feel with the bright and happy colors and patterns) as well as styling tips from Emily, champagne, and Batter & Cream treats. I've known Emily for a little over a year now; her personality is infectious, her style impeccable, and her hair, oh so fabulous. It was also fun getting to chat and shop with bloggers Lyndi, Emme, and Erin. Shop the Spring Collection here!
