I received sample sizes of the Black Cherry and Ginger Melon Body Butters and absolutely loved both and can't stop using them. The scents are addicting and not overwhelming, almost too good not to eat. Upon applying the body butter, I immediately noticed how velvety-soft it felt on my skin, and kept me moisturized throughout the day. Usually when I think of body butter, I'm expecting a thicker consistency, but Whish's body butter have an appealing light, lotion consistency which makes it effortless to apply. It's also a huge upside and relief to know that what I'm putting on my skin is not made up of harsh chemicals and ingredients.

Two Looks Styled Two Ways from Jeanni Champagne Boutique in Newport Coast

I first met blogger Evelyne of Everything Evelyne this past fall at a fashion show. I was enamored by her sheer excitement and enthusiasm, it was infectious! We kept running into each other at various OC events, and finally got to talking a bit more during a summer preview at Jeanni Champagne Boutique in Newport Coast. We chatted about how we should collaborate and thought that Jeanni Champagne would be the perfect shop for putting together similar looks styled different ways by the both of us.
This past Monday, we met with Jeanni Champagne's co-owner Jeandre and she let Evelyne and I run wild in the shop. We styled one look featuring a plaid flannel shirt and another featuring a sheer, high-low tank. See how Evelyne and I put our own personal touch on each look below. And if you're in the area, stop by Jeanni Champagne for Sip & Shop this Friday to celebrate their one year anniversary at the Newport Coast Shopping Center.

FLANNEL x JEANS x LEATHER SLIP ONS
Amanda is an avid flannel/plaid wearer and although she usually will tie one around her waist to later wear when it gets chillier in the day, she opted to wear this one buttoned to show off the color detail of the top. She styled her button down with a pair of lightly distressed, black skinny jeans. To give a more youthful flare, she tied the bottom of the button down and rolled up the sleeves. The tennis shoes have an urban street vibe but still look put together.
High-Low Tank x Pop of Jewelry
Although the tank has a contrasting lace pattern on the back, Amanda wanted to add more dimension with these floral printed shorts. She tucked the front of the tank into the shorts to give her waist a more flattering shape. Then tied in the light blue and neutral hues of the airy, pleated shorts with a gold and blue stoned pendant necklace and golden initial necklace. Wearing the flat Chelsea boots allows her to easily transition from the farmer's market, to brunch, and end with an afternoon of creative meetings.

Wearing Stripes & a Pop Of Color for Summer
Happy Monday everyone! I wanted to share the last look out of three for the summer outfits that I styled for the OC Goodwill Blog. Rock a bold stripe pattern this summer by pairing it with a bright color bottom. In this look styled with items from the new OC Goodwill Boutique in Huntington Beach, a sheer black and white striped blouse was worn with a pleated, flow-y coral colored skirt. Accessories were kept neutral, making this look chic and functional for running around town or meeting up with friends. Read more about the look on the OC Goodwill blog here!

Hollywoodland Murder Mystery Dinner

When I approached Andrew about attending a murder mystery dinner show, his response was far from what was expected. He was 200% excited to want to experience a murder mystery show so I RSVP'd for us to attend the Dainty Dames' THE HOLLYWOODLAND MURDER at Next Door Lounge in Hollywood. I didn't know what to expect, but was completely enraptured by the intimate, speakeasy ambiance; there was a sense of mystery and what once was that immediately took me to another time.
This experience heavily involves your group or the people sitting in your area or at your table with finding clues. moving about the lounge and working together to try to find the killer. So if you're not the type to want to get involved, I wouldn't go; but it is just too much fun to not want be apart of the show. The actors mingled with the dinner guests prior to start of the show and it really puts everyone in the mood and gets everyone excited for the show.
Dinner and drinks were great, and I must say I might have been a bit too inebriated to effectively solve the murder with my table group, but I had a blast nonetheless. Read the synopsis of the show below, and make a reservation for the next show!
THE HOLLYWOODLAND MURDER:
The year is 1948, and you, a member of Hollywood's Elite, are invited to the movie premiere of "The Hollywoodland Murder". It's the most talked about film in Tinseltown due to its is highly controversial subject matter: exploiting the infamous story of The Black Dahlia murder, less than one year since it rocked Los Angeles. Unbeknownst to the movie premiere attendees, there is a killer in the crowd. The murderer has a twisted game in store that brings the Black Dahlia horror they see on screen a haunting reality. Floral Print Maxi Dress for Summer
I'm currently in Sacramento, visiting our state's Capitol! If anyone has any suggestiosn on places to eat or things to do, please tweet me! I wanted to share the second look out of the three summer style outfits I styled from OC Goodwill Boutique finds at their Huntington Beach location. I think floral print screams Spring/Summer fashion and the brighter the colors, the better. I tend to go for a slight abstract print, so I like how this floral print almost looks like watercolor. The blue clutch complemented the blue hues of the dress perfectly, and I threw on a cheery yellow kimono-like wrap just in case it got chilly. Wearing espadrille wedges keeps the hem of the dress from dragging on the ground, and adds some height. Read more about the look here.
