Tartan Remix

While checking out the RARE by Goodwill store in Anaheim, I stumbled across this classic tartan printed pleated skirt (totally Clueless vibes, just need a matching jacket) that I had to have, so I tried it on and it fit perfectly so I brought it home with me. It had an oversized safety pin at the bottom of the skirt giving it an edgier, 'punk-rock' look, so I styled it with a crop top and faux leather jacket. To complete my homage to the 90s grunge era with my twist on it, I had Dee of Swell Beauty do this awesome faux hawk braid ponytail hair style on me (check out the tutorial here) as well as add a red lip, and I wore a cherry necklace from Katy Perry's Eat Your Heart Out collection at Claire's and my fave silver mesh sunnies from ZeroUV. Katy Perry's Eat Your Heart Out Collection at Claire's

I got to check out the Katy Perry's recently launched Eat Your Heart Out Collection at the W Hollywood Hotel. The collection which included a vibrant and animated array of cell phone cases (the macaron and pizza cases are my fave)and delicious assortment of food-inspired jewelry was on display along with other Katy Perry collections styles fitting for the upcoming festival season. Aside from the yummy baked treats and birthday cake specialty cocktail I enjoyed, I got to take home a bag filled to the brim with goodies (one of which is Katy's PRISM album, LOVE and can't wait to jam out to it).
